23/3/18 Michael & Jackie attended the Mayor of Bognor Regis’s Civic Reception held at Butlin’s. This is an annual reception for organisations that have applied for and received funding from the Town Council Grant Aid scheme. We were there as guests, not recipients. Each organisation was called up individually to receive their cheque from the Mayor, Cllr. Phil Woodall. The Grant Aid scheme promotes a vibrant and active community in Bognor Regis and provides financial support for community organisations working for Bognor Regis residents. A buffet was provided; there was a skiffle band to entertain guests and also a raffle to raise further funds for the Mayor’s two nominated charities – Alzheimer’s Society and Epilepsy Action. We met several representatives of good causes Pagham Pram Race had donated to there, who were receiving Grant Aids.
